I have purposely avoided the topic of homosexuality and Christianity after that one time several years ago I stated something in a forum here and got flamed. I wrote a long comment today to a certain deviation that claimed that God loves homosexuals. Yes. He does. Christianity is not hate crime. And Jesus is not a hater. But God still cannot tolerate sin.

I still stand by where I stood 5 years ago on that homosexuality is a sin. Moreover, I believe that it is not okay to condone sin. Christians are sinners, too, and Christians are "Christ's people" because we recognize the absolute need for a savior, for Jesus Christ, and that we recognize nothing else on Earth or anywhere can save us except Christ.

I'm disappointed in that there are so many people rooting for gay marriage and such, and that that number includes many "Christians" whose life and value is not based upon the Word. Moreover, I'm saddened by that most Christians don't take the Bible seriously, don't think that their lives and thoughts and views should be shaped by the Word. For people who think happiness is the most important thing in the world, they can go search happiness all their lives but this world cannot offer it. For people who think love is the most important thing, there's only one person who really knows how to love - Jesus Christ, and everyone else falls short of that incredibly.

I get discouraged whenever I read news articles about gay marriage and similar happenings since there are so many more people who speak for homosexuality than against. However, I am encouraged by those few who are more interested in what God wants than what people want, and still desire to honor the Creator's original purpose! But still, I don't want this side to stay silent - I will stand up for what I believe in. This is not an invitation for flame wars but a declaration of what I believe in. Don't think I stand where others stand because I am not loud.

I do draw guys who aren't guy-ish and I struggle at times but this is where I stand. I speak because I saw a post that mentioned Jesus.

And I do realize that most people on dA aren't really followers of Christ.
